Mapping the Gaps between Expert and Public Understandings of Human Services

The webinar presented the preliminary findings from the Frameworks Institute report, “Handed to Them on a Plate: Mapping the Gaps Between Expert and Public Understandings of Human Services.”

The webinar focused on three main elements of the report: the findings from research conducted to identify the “core story” of the human services sector, analysis of the “gaps” identified in how the general public understands the values and metaphors embedded in the story, and discussion of potential strategies to “reframe” how the sector presents itself to the public and policy makers.
